Grand Seiko Watch Elegance Spring Drive. SBGA293G
This Grand Seiko Elegance Spring Drive watch was years in the making, but its breathtaking design and impeccable accuracy was worth the wait. In 1977, a young Seiko engineer known as Yoshikazu Akahane had the dream to create a watch with a 1 second per day accuracy, something that only the finest electronic watches could deliver. It took him 27 years and over 600 prototypes, but eventually the Grand Seiko Spring Drive watch collection was born, and its success was guaranteed.
This particular Grand Seiko Elegance watch boasts the 9R65 Spring Drive movement which uses Seiko's original Magic Lever mechanism and promises a power reserve of 72 hours. The aspiration for a /- 1 second per day accuracy continues to be upheld in the stunning Grand Seiko Spring Drive which also showcases a 40.2mm stainless steel case, dual curved sapphire crystal glass and a breathtaking white dial decorated with multi-faceted hands and hour makers. The dial is also equipped with a special power reserve indicator at 7 o clock, a date window at 3 o clock and the famous Grand Seiko logo centre stage. When the timepiece is not fastened to your wrist by the luxurious black alligator leather strap and three fold clasp, you can admire the handcrafted Japanese automatic calibre through the exhibition case back.
